Props/ Costumes

Costumes: 

Because the characters in our film are all college students we wanted to ensure they looked like students by dressing them in normal, causal, everyday clothing to make our film look as believable and realistic as possible.

Boy:

Because the boy will be part of the prank and in one of the shots the girl being pranked will just see his silhouette we thought that it would be best if the boy wore all black therefore his silhouette will be more visible, he would also be able to blend in to the background in some of the darker lit scenes which will link to the common enigma of psychological thrillers which is 'whats hiding in the shadows?'
Also if the boy wore black it would also link into the genre of our film as black is a common colour used in psychological thrillers as it is often used to connote danger.
The boy will also be wearing a mask designed by Amirah and Elizabeth so that his identity is concealed throughout the prank until the end of the film.
Therefore we decided that the boy should wear a dark t-shirt, dark jeans and dark shoes and for the scenes that the boy will be in the art studio we decided that he should wear a hooded jacket so that his identity is masked.

Tina:

In our film there is a scene at the very end of the film where the boy has fallen down the stairs and has died and Tina takes off his mask to reveal his identity, we decided that Tina should wear white/ light colours as this would be symbolic for the death of the boy as it would give the idea that he has gone into the light meaning he is dead. Therefore we decided that Tina should wear a light coloured t-shirt and trousers.

Deb:

For our film we wanted to try and ensure that we included codes and conventions of psychological thrillers as that is the genre we chose for our film, therefore we decided to dress the 'victim' in black as well as the boy 'pranker' as the colour black is often used to connote danger in a psychological thrillers and because 'Deb' is the victim in our ilm we decided that she should wear all black as it would be symbolic for the danger she is about to experience form the prank.
Therefore decided that Deb should wear dark trousers and a dark t-shirt.

We also wanted to ensure that there were no labels or company trademarks visible as we didn't want have any copyright issues and also because we thought that it would take away from the symbolism the clothes have in the storyline.
