On the 3rd of December we started filming our final film we made sure that we first had something to eat so that we had enough energy to be able to work to the best of our ability. We then went through the entire script, which took us around 3-4 hours. By doing this we were able to place together all of our footage to see if we needed to add any more shots, we were also able to see whether or not we wanted to get rid of a shot, change it etc. Whilst filming we managed to shoot a variety of shots such as long shots, pans, close-ups, match on action shots, medium close-ups etc.
What went well:
Before we went to film we had a break so we could have something to eat and drink so that we had more energy so we were able to film for longer and be more energetic within the scenes.
We also booked out the camera and tripod in the morning in preparation for the film so we were able to go to film straight away, and also so we knew we had a camera and tripod available for us to film with.
We also planned out which scenes we had to film e.g. we filmed all of the scenes we needed in one room first then moved on to the next location, this was a more efficient way of filming as we didn't have to keep carrying our equipment and belongings to different locations.
What could've gone better:
looking back at some of our footage we noticed that there were a few continuity errors e.g. posters had moved therefore we had to re-film some of the shots. looking back we should have ensured that the locations should have stayed the same throughout filming until every scene was finished.
We also noticed that we didn't use a wide variety of shots, therefore we decided to look though the film to see where we could add new shots e.g. more close-ups, match on action, pans etc.
