Opening Titles: Charcoal Test

Using our plans for the opening titles to our short film, we decided to test numerous parts in order to see what worked well. Then when we come to the final shoot, we have a better idea of what to do in order to minimise the amount of time it will take.

For one of these tests, we tested the look of charcoal snapping. We used different lengths and types of charcoal stick so we could see what worked best.

After the testing, we came to the conclusion that a short, dense type of charcoal stick works best for the look we wanted to achieve.
