Final Idea (Detailed)

SCENE ONE;

• Firstly, the opening title sequence will play. This goes through various fast cuts of shots of different art supplies, ending with a close up shot of a charcoal pencil being dragged along paper and snapping. The opening title music stops abruptly with the snap of the pencil.
• Once the pencil has snapped, there is a tracking shot out revealing a teenage (17/18 year old) Boy holding the pencil who is sat in an art class in a college classroom. This tracks backwards into a long/wide shot of the entire classroom, with the Boy in the centre of the shot with a teenage girl on either side of him working on their art. Girl One is on the right. Girl Two is on the left. MASTER SHOT. The shot does not change until specified. The sound during this shot is muffled background noise of the classroom, should sound faded as though hearing sound from underwater.
• The boy then speaks. As he speaks, all sound returns to completely normal sound. He complains about his broken pencil. The girls look up from their work as he speaks. He stands and turns to the table behind him which is full of art materials. 
• As he stands, the shot changes to a shot of the gap between the two tables. The Boy is in the centre, his table on the left, the art table on the right. He searches through materials and complains about being unable to find any more charcoal pencils. He shouts to someone off screen, "Sir, there's no more charcoal pencils left!", and the person off screen (an adult male teacher) replies, "The lesson's almost done. Go get some from the art storage building." 
• The shot then cuts back to the master shot. The two girls shut their sketchbooks as the boy turns back round to push his chair under the desk. The girls stand up. Whilst they all start to leave on the right hand side of the screen, the shot cuts to a close up of Girl One's face. As they still walk through the classroom to the door, shot stays on Girl One's face, tracks with her. "Hey, I've gotta go to the art storage anyway 'Boy'. Me and 'Girl Two' will go and pick up some charcoal for you. Okay?" she says. 
• Shot cuts to mid shot of them approaching the door. Door is on the right of the shot. Boy opens door. Cuts in order [ALL MATCH ON ACTION]: close up of hand touching handle, back to mid shot showing door open, cut to shot from other side of door of door finishing opening, back to mid shot showing them walk through [Girl Two says "Goodbye!" to teacher who stays off-screen], back to shot from other side of door showing Girl Two walk through door and door partly closing behind her, cut from outside in corridor (door on right of corridor, three characters in centre left-right Boy, Girl One, Girl Two.) Camera tracks backwards down corridor with them.
• Three characters walk towards camera. Boy says, "Sure. I'll see you two tomorrow then." Tracking stops. Shot cuts to close up of Boy's face. "I'll text you, 'Girl Two'." Cut to mid shot from side. Boy hugs Girl Two. Girl Two says, "I love you, bye." 
• Backing music starts.
• Boy walks off out of shot. Shot then tracks alongside two girls who keep walking down corridor. They go past a figure blocking camera's view. WIPE SHOT TO NEXT SCENE.

SCENE TWO;

• WIPE SHOT ENDS WITH GIRL ONE AND TWO WALKING DOWN PATH ON WAY TO ART STUDIO. 
• Camera tracks alongside girls [in background they pass a calender marked 'April 1st'] still as they reach art studio door, which they go through [MATCH ON ACTION]. 
• Shot cuts to a dark room. Camera is facing door. MASTER SHOT. You can hear a door open and shut as the girls walk in. Lights flicker on. Girl One says, "So, how are things going with 'Boy'?" as the two girls walk in different ways. Girl One goes to right. Girl Two goes to left. Door is in centre. Girl Two says, "God, you're so nosy." Shot cuts to slightly low angle mid shot of Girl Two's face, who is looking through boxes on a desk. You can hear two girls moving things around. Girl One says [off screen], "Hell yeah. Now tell me.". Girl Two starts to laugh/sigh.
• Lights suddenly turn off. BACK TO MASTER SHOT. Girls turn to look at each other. Girl Two says, "What the hell?" Cut to tracking shot of Girl One walking to door/light switches. Girl One, "Damn lights." Cut to close up of her flicking light switches back on. LOUD SHARP SHORT DRAMATIC SOUND as cut to mid shot of girl facing camera with door behind her and silhouetted figure behind her through the door. 
• Fast Pan round to Girl Two, who is stood opposite Girl One. "Holy shit!" Girl Two screams, pointing at door. Fast Pan backwards to Girl One, figure is now gone. Girl One, "What?" Camera remains on Girl One, who turns around to face door as Girl Two says, "There was someone stood in the door!"  
• Cut to shot from outside room looking through door window, two girls visible one behind other, Girl Two slightly to the right. Door opens fully. Girl One, "There's no one-" Girl Two, "I swear it!", Girl One, "Fine, stay here and I'll go check it out." Girl leaves to the left of shot, door shuts. MATCH ON ACTION. Cut to side long shot of entire room with Girl Two stood in the centre, door on left, facing door. Door finishes closing. A few seconds of silence, no cuts, just Girl Two visibly getting more concerned. Eventually she calls out, "'Girl One'? You okay?"
• LOUD BANGING AS THINGS FALL FROM OUTSIDE DOOR, IMPLIED IT BLOCKS THE DOOR OFF. Cut to mid shot behind Girl Two, tracks as she runs to door. She shouts as she runs to door, then bangs on it when she reaches it. Cut to side mid shot of her pushing and banging on door, shouting.
• Match on action cut as she turns around, from side mid shot to shot from back of room again. She runs towards camera. Cut to side as she runs. Shows her looking through drawers. Cut to close up of drawer, inside are keys, a camera, and a torch. 
• Lights turn off again. Close up on Girl Two's face, she is visibly distressed, swearing to herself. Cut back to drawer close up as she fumbles to grab torch. Cut to side mid shot as she picks torch up and tries to turn it on, but it doesn't work. "Shit!" 
• Cut back to drawer as she picks up a camera. Cut to shot from back of room, showing girl face forward with door behind her. Camera flashes, a figure can be seen behind her. She then flashes it again to pick up keys. Cut to drawers as she picks keys up, match on action to back of room shot. Figure is gone in second flash.
• Cut to side long shot of entire room as she runs across it towards door, flashing camera mid way. 
• Cut to mid shot from behind girl as she reaches door. Cut to close up of her putting keys in lock. Camera flashes numerous times throughout. Cut to mid side shot as she drops keys. Girl Two is almost in tears and highly distressed. 
• Cut to mid back shot as she pushes door, door flies open. MATCH ON ACTION. Cut to outside corridor, from far down corridor. Corridor is also dark. Door is on right as it opens and Girl Two runs out. 
• She runs down corridor, camera tracking backwards with her. Dark except for when camera flashes repeatedly. Cut to shot from behind girl, camera still tracking behind her. She keeps flashing camera. With each flash you can see a figure at the end of the corridor. 
• Hear Girl One call out, "'Girl Two'?! Are you alright?!" Cut to close up of Girl One's face in dark as Girl Two stops flashing camera after Girl One speaks. Cut to side long shot as Girl Two reaches Girl One, grabs her hand and pulls her off camera. MATCH ON ACTION TO CORRIDOR ON LEFT HAND SIDE THAT GIRL TWO DRAGS GIRL ONE DOWN. She keeps flashing camera. 
• Shot is now tracking long side shot alongside girls as they run down corridor, once again past the same calender they passed at the beginning marked April 1st. Girl Two, "Someone's after us! Fucking run!" Girl One, "What?!" Girl Two, "We have to get out of here!" 
• Cut to close up of hand opening door, match on action sequence of opening door and leaving building. Camera faces door as girls run through it and towards the camera, stop just before they reach it. MASTER SHOT. Shot stays same until specified. Girl One stops on left, Girl Two on right.
• It is almost dark outside now, but not very dark. About 5-6pm. 
• Girl One bends over, breathing heavily trying to catch her breath. Girl Two drops camera on floor. Cut to camera on ground. Cut back to master shot. Girl One {breathlessly}, "We'll be fine out here, no one will get us out in the open okay?" 
• Cut to close up of Girl Two's face. Camera follows her as she turns her head, then cut to POINT OF VIEW SHOT panning of location, when suddenly camera appears to be hit by an object such as a baseball bat. EVERYTHING CUTS INSTANTLY TO BLACK. 

SCENE THREE; [please note: this scene is white. VERY BRIGHT. all camera flashes in this scene are INTENSELY BRIGHT to cause high disorientation for viewer.]

• Point of view shot, camera is Girl Two's eyes. Opening and closing, blurry shots as though waking up from unconsciousness. All we can see is close up of someone wearing a mask (Boy), blurry until it finally focuses. During this we can hear distorted speaking and a sharp ringing sound. Suddenly there is a bright light of camera flashing in 'eyes'. EVERYTHING NOW FOCUSES AS FLASH FADES.
• Cut to long, side shot of room [MASTER SHOT], Girl Two sat flopping on chair on right hand side, Boy in mask on left hand side. Room is VERY BRIGHT AND WHITE. 
• Cut to close up of Girl Two's face, she has bruising along the side of her face. She groans. Cut to master shot. Boy lifts up camera and takes another photograph of Girl Two. Girl Two, "What...what's happening?" she groans. 
• Cut to mid shot of Girl Two as she lifts her hand and runs it down bruises on her face. She moves slowly and tired from unconsciousness. Cut back to master shot. Boy turns his back to Girl Two, and puts camera in a shoulder bag on the side facing the camera. Girl Two screams, "Hey!" [Boy turns to face her] "I said, what the hell is happening?!" 
• Cut to mid shot of Boy as he reaches in his pocket. Cut to close up of pocket. Track with his hand as he brings out an artists knife up to about his torso level. Cut to over the shoulder shot of Girl Two from behind Boy. Girl Two screams in fear, "Holy shit!", she starts to cry as camera tracks behind Boy as he walks towards her. She is paralysed with fear. 
• Cut back to master shot. Boy is half a metre away from her when she suddenly stands, knocking over chair, and runs away off camera to the right. 
• Cut back to over the shoulder shot of boy, pans to right and we see Girl Two open a door and leave through it. MATCH ON ACTION. Cut to corridor as door opens and Girl Two runs out, screaming and crying for help. 
• FAST CUTS FROM NOW ONWARDS.
• Cut to long shot of Girl Two running down corridor towards camera, tracking backwards with her.
• Cut to MATCH ON ACTION of Boy opening door and doing same steps as Girl Two, following her down the same corridor.
• Cut to around a corner where Girl Two runs into from the right hand side. 
• Cuts to close up of Girl Two's face. 
• Cuts to mid side shot of her running towards a staircase. 
• Cuts to her from behind, stopping at bannister at top of stairs. 
• Camera tracks over her shoulder showing staircase. 
• Cuts back to corner where Boy runs round from the right hand side, still carrying knife.
• Cut to mid shot of Girl Two's face. FOCUS PULL SHOWS REALISATION OF IMPENDING HORROR OR PERHAPS REALISATION OF A PLAN?
• Cut to long side shot. Staircase and Girl Two on left, Boy and knife on right. Girl Two shouts as she moves slowly to top of staircase, "Come and get me you sicko!" 
• Cut to shot from behind Boy as he runs towards Girl Two.
• Cut back to long side shot as Girl Two dodges Boy and we see him start to fall down the stairs off the left hand side of the camera.
• Cut to close up of Girl Two's face as she breaths heavily, tears and sweat dripping down her face.
• SLOW CUTS AGAIN.
• Shot stays on close up of Girl Two, slowly reverse zoom out to mid shot whilst we hear the banging of Boy falling down stairs, his shouts of pain, and the thud of him reaching the bottom. 
• We then cut to birds eye view shot close up of Boy's eyes, paralysed open in shock. Slowly, IN SILENCE, track out to mid shot of him laid on floor. During tracking, a pool of blood around his head slowly widens.
• Cut back to mid shot of Girl Two at top of stairs. Behind her, we see Girl One. Girl One, "What have you done?!" Girl Two turns behind her.
• MATCH ON ACTION as Girl Two turns, to side long shot of Girl One run behind her towards staircase and start to go down it. MATCH ON ACTION to long shot from bottom of stairs of Girl One running to the bottom then falling on the floor beside Boy. 
• Cut to close up of Boy's face, as Girl One removes his mask to reveal his identity as the Boy. 
• Cut back out to long shot showing Girl One start to cry and touch Boy's face, in background we see Girl Two reaching bottom of the staircase.
• Cut to close up of Girl Two, showing her realisation that her boyfriend is dead. She screams in horror, camera zooms in to her mouth fading to black. 

SCENE FOUR/FINAL SCENE; 

• Everything in this scene is almost grayscale, and the edges of the screen are blurred in order to emphasize this is a FLASHBACK SCENE. 
• Camera reverse zooms from black out to first show photos flicking on a computer of Boy (sat to left) and Girl One (sat to right) taken the previous year when Girl Two played an April Fools prank on them. Camera keeps tracking backwards to show Boy and Girl One sat at computer flicking through photos. MASTER SHOT. Girl One laughs, "We've got to get her real good this year. Payback." 
• Cut to close up from behind of Boy's face, who is looking to the right, "This prank is gonna be hilarious. 'Girl Two' won't ever forget!" 
• Cut back to master shot. Camera continues tracking backwards as Boy and Girl One laugh happily and sound fades as we can hear them talk about the prank plan. Dramatic music fades in as tracking reveals a calender on the wall to the left, marked April 1st.
• Cut to black.

END.

Closing credits now run.
