Camera movements
In psychological thrillers the camera movements are normally fast paced so that it builds tension and panic in a scene so that the audience feels pathos with the character as they feel the same emotions.
Editing
The editing is normally obtrusive so that in a scene normally the important ones the audience can feel the tension and suspense, the way it is edited can normally highlight these feelings well. In most psychological thrillers the use of black and white lighting highlights the shadows well so that it adds more tension that the audience feels.
