Viral Advertising research
This is an example of a viral ad used by Evian, viral ads are used as a way of companies promoting information in a different way, if they do something that is interesting it can become popular online and so if someone sees it they will want to tell people they know about it so that they go an watch it themselves, and it is a cycle once people watch it and tell others they will do the same. It means that companies can interact and engage their audiences but it doesn't cost as much as normal advertising does. By going viral it means that people have forwarded it that much to friends and got other people interested in it. Companies use viral advertising because it means that they get potential customers everywhere as it is online and most people have access to the internet to view it as it is easier to get the message spread quicker online. YouTube is the most popular way for companies to post their videos, if a video is strange, emotional or engaging in some way it means that the audience will be more likely to tell others about it.
This is another good example of a viral ad as it uses something that many people find cute (a puppy) so it engages the audience emotionally so they will get people they know to watch it because they wan to show them how cute it is which then means that more people will see the companies advertising.
