Film Poster Research

This type of poster would be a good idea for our film as the antagonist wears a mask that is a main part of the film so we could use as the main point of the poster in a similar way to this, and add effects that would make it look like a psychological thriller poster.

The focus of this poster is Leonardo DiCaprio's face, and the island that the film is themed upon, this is good because it shows the potential audience what the focus of the film is but the writing is something that I think would look good on our film poster as it looks weird and slightly like chalk or paint which could link in with our film well.

The lighting used on this poster is good as it makes sure that the focus is on Johnny Depp when you see it we could use something like this on our poster using the main character, the writing at the bottom of the poster is something that we could use as it will have all the information about the distributors.

One thing that none of these posters uses is a release date which is something we could incorporate into our poster which is something that quite a lot of posters do.
