Rehearsal scene one: 19th November

On the 19th of November we did a full rehearsal of scene one so that we were able to see what shots we could change and add, as well as to give us an idea on how to make a realistic filming schedule so that we were able to use our time effectively and efficiently so we could get as much filming done as possible to the best standard. From this practice we were able to see that we hadn't got many closeup shots, therefore when we decided to look closely at the film to see where we could add close ups so that our shots had more variation. We also made a schedule to ensure we had a break so that we weren't overworking our selves, and so we didn't feel too tired whilst filming. We also made sure that we had plans to get something to eat before we filmed so that we had energy and didn't feel ill. Here are some of the shots from behind the scene to show what we got up to.

What went well:

On the morning of our rehearsal shooting day we booked out our equipment in preparation of filming in the afternoon. We also asked our tutor if we could leave our classes early as we had lessons prior to filming and we wanted to start filming at around 1pm. Therefore we were very organised with our equipment and schedule.

Problems that occurred:

Because we hadn't had a break before filming we were all a bit sluggish and tired, so it took longer for us to film certain shots, which also made us feel more tired.

Also whilst filming the 'blackout scene' staff members and other students kept turning the lights back on in the corridors, even though we put up signs clearly stating we were filming. This also meant that we had to reshoot shots due to continuity. This also meant that we wasted more time as we had to reshoot things.

Another thing that went wrong that we noticed whilst we went to edit the film was that whilst we were filming the 'villain' behind the door, the camera that we used to film it was visible within the shot meaning that the forth wall was broken, therefore we need to reshoot this scene.
