Websites

such as hidden trailers, images and websites all related to the film.
Videos
likewise Prometheus used videos as forms
of viral advertisement, a video was produced that appeared to be a TED talk
from the year 2023, and aired at an actual TED conference. After this a
corporate style production video for one of the characters (David, who is a
robot) was then released.
Hidden Messages
A very successful viral marketing
technique was the hidden messages produced for the release of Batman ‘The Dark
Knight’ created whysoserious.com based on the famous quote from the franchise,
which started a scavenger hunt leading fans to various locations throughout the
US to find clues. These clues, when all were collected formed an image of the
joker accompanied by the audio clip ““and tonight, you’re gonna break one rule”.
